This airplane may have the most extensive "documented" combat history of any flying WWII aircraft. It was in D-Day, Market Garden, and VARSITY. Flown initially by the RAF as KG395, then by the RCAF until the 1960s. Then used by the Greenland Expedition in their search for "the Lost Squadron" and recovery of the P-38 "Glacier Girl". We had it on display at Oshkosh in 1992 with snow skis and most of the P-38 parts. We flew it back to Normandy in 1994 for the 50th anniversary of D-Day where we took part in the official multi-national ceremonies.
